Badgy Hoedown - be there!

After a year off in 2023, we're back! Each year, we'll be running one big hoedown, cycling through the states. With this year being WA’s turn, Badgingarra threw their hat in the ring and were chosen as the 2024 host town.

So we present to you, the Badgy Hoedown. The event will be held on 12th October 2024, and we're delighted to be working alongside the Badgingarra Community Association to bring you this not-to-be-missed night of bootscooting bliss.

For catering purposes, tickets must be pre-purchased before Wednesday 9th October. Grab your ticket here. If you'd like to share the event with your friends, the FB event page is here.

Held in the town’s recently revamped community centre, the Badgy Hoedown will be a family-friendly event open to all, regardless of age, dance experience, or affinity for country music.

The theme of the night is ‘Truly Rural.’ Beginner line dances will be taught throughout the afternoon and night, with a two-course meal, dancing demos, raffles, games, awards also forming part of the jam-packed agenda. Profits raised will be put towards the construction of a new shade structure over Badgingarra’s local nature playground.

Accomm options:

In Badgy:

  • Badgingarra Tavern - rooms available

  • Caravan park with powered and unpowered sites and a couple of rooms

  • Bed and Breakfast places in and around Badgy

Surrounding towns:

  • Cervantes - 55km away via gravel road, 65km via sealed road. Cervantes accomm options include motels, apartments, AirBnBs, caravan park.

  • Jurien Bay - 60km via sealed road, with motels, apartments, air bnbs, caravan park with cabins

  • Moora - 60km inland via sealed road, has a motel and caravan park with chalets.

The event will be finishing up around 9pm so you certainly won't be needing to wait until 3am to drive back to your accomm.

Grab your tickets, and we'll see you there for a night of grooving and grapevining!
